I'm going to Kenya!
Even typing the words it just doesn't seem real. A year and a half ago at a conference, a missionary doctor staying with the same family I was said "Come to Tenwek!" as we parted ways. God began opening doors for this to happen 6 months ago. Even as other doors closed, everything seemed to clear the way for Kenya. I will be working for 4 weeks at Tenwek Hospital near Bomet, Kenya. I am excited for this time but also am prayerfully hopeful for opportunities beyond this experience.
So, come with me to Tenwek! After I turned in my official resignation, my boss came to me later that afternoon with a worried look and asked, "Do they have internet in Africa?!?" Haha - They do indeed, though sometimes the power grid isn't very reliable. I will have some access to WiFi at the hospital and therefore will be posting pics and posts on here and social media.
